Professional camcorder with memory slot

I was able to snag this HME Sony tape for £13 with the intention to film my Nans 60th birthday with it (famiky gatheringt)I'm now realising how hard these are to find. And I don't know if I want to use it now or just keep it and a collection piece 🤔. I could just record over a normal tape instead.

ps4 doesn't turn on anymore after I plugged it into the wall. I had a feeling because of all of the dust may have fried itself. the motherboard seems completely fine but when having a look at the power supply I found a discoloured and bulged sections of one of the pathways. Is this proof of damage?
