18" Van Gogh hoop - my goal was to finish the greens/browns over Thanksgiving Break 😁
I lived in Alaska for a year and stitching this piece has me itching to go back. I miss living in a tiny bush village. I miss the Aurora and the frigid temperatures. What an experience it was.
I started this hoop in 2021 and my goal was to finish it by the end of 2022... it's an 18" quilters hoop... my version of Starry Night by Van Gogh
Feminine Energy - this was my first time stitching ferns... I love how they turned out!
My sister had a huge stain she couldn't get out. So I stitched this sunflower to cover it.
My grandpa passed last Wednesday. He was a Vetrinarian and bred black labs for years. Grandma requested a piece to go in the casket. I wish I had more time to do more, but for a 3 day project, it came together well.
I have wanted to stitch this duo for a while. The pattern is based on Doug Chiang's work. I am debating if I should thread paint it, or leave it as is. I used a single strand split stitch.
